Definitely a hidden gem in the city for solid Japanese cuisine. Been there for decades and service, food, atmosphere is consistently good. Love the staff there, it is truly a neighborhood establishment where locals like going. Everything is delicious every time and doesn’t break the bank!

Amazing establishment. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and for a more than reasonable price. They use order forms to make selections from the menu, and the wait staff are more than friendly. The place itself was empty of customers when I went with my father, which sucks because it means so many people are missing out on this great place. If I lived in the area I’d come as often as I could. I suggest anyone with the opportunity to dine here to take advantage of the chance.

Love this little sushi shop. Reminds me of similar places in Japan. Fresh fish, crispy nori, warm rice and Japanese flavors and feels. Tamago was good. You can tell the tamago is made in house! Many sushi restaurants purchase and resell it. Bento was good. Tea was typical sencha you find in 寿司屋 in Japan. They have traditional stuff like various donburis, oshinko, tsunomono, hiyayako, etc. Small but cozy. No wait on a Wednesday night. Nice waitresses.

This sushi establishment appears to be a cherished gem among locals, given its elusive location, but it is absolutely deserving of the effort to seek it out. Delighting in sashimi, tempura, and a chilled 22 oz Ichiban beer proved to be a splendid dining experience, particularly after an extensive journey. The serene and pleasant ambiance further enhanced the meal.

Neighborhood gem. There is more to be said for a consistently good restaurant at a reasonable price. This is actually rare for a sushi restaurant. I come here for the sashimi but there are hot dishes as well. From outside, one can easily walk by this relatively small space. Inside, the long and narrow restaurant gives it a cozy feeling even without booths or partitions.

Intimate but not cramped or loud, lovely decor. Best food I had all day, after 8 hours bouncing around Dupont. The eel bowl is great-- hot, filling, & tasty, and if you like sweet drinks DEFINITELY try the plum wine!! New favorite wine!!! Green tea mochi ice cream is a restrained bitter-sweet that's complimented by the almost candy-sweet wine. Great meal, great price, I only wish I was in DC more so I could eat here all the time!!

Such beautiful decor and warm vibes, super fresh fish and tasty sushi, and very affordable! Such a great time. The tempura was very light and clean tasting. And the plum wine was delicious! Highly recommend.

The waitstaff was really nice!! We had a party of 11 that grew into 13, but they were very accommodating about it. Two of us showed up more than half an hour after the rest, but they didn't mind and brought all our food out together (I think). The waitress made sure to refill our waters and was v nice and willing to split our check person by person even though we had so many people. She was great :-) the food was also tasty & v affordable, especially for a place in DuPont
